Projects and Events

Students, Staff and Trustees are all involved in raising funds for the Charitable Trust. Recent fundraising events have included:

Row The Tay!
Measuring 188kms, the River Tay is the longest river in Scotland and the staff and students of Angus College were challenged to row the same distance using the rowing machines in the Sport & Fitness department.

To date 35 rowers have taken part, over 1 million metres have been rowed and all proceeds raised have gone to the Charitable Trust.

Students v Suits
A friendly match of football between Angus College students and staff. The students put up a good fight but the staff took home the title at the end of the day with a 6-4 win over the students.

Fun was had by all and lots of money was raised all of which went to the Student Crisis Care Fund.

Family Fun Fayre
Landbased students recently raised 90 for the Student Crisis Care Fund.

Sponsored Walk
113 was raised by NC Computing students with a series of sponsored walks and computer games competitions. All funds raised went to the Student Crisis Care Fund.

William Coull Anderson Trust
500 was secured from the William Coull Anderson Trust for a drugs and alcohol misuse workshop.


Money Raised So Far

The Charitable Trust has raised over 50,000 since it was established in 2004.
